E.g., they dropped support for text-based logs entirely (they were limiting before that anyway), which means you have to set up a DB server if you want any job accounting at all now. Slurm has become way too much of a hassle for small-scale HPC. Schedmd only cares about paying customers, i.e. big organizations with massive clusters. Not a criticism, just a fact.
