Oh, two other things.

One, I only noticed after the fact that there is indeed a changelog and that
kunda posted it in comment 3.

Two, the patch, for whatever reason, doesn't show the removal of all the
patches from the files directory, as none of them are needed any longer.

Also something else to point out is that it seems that the CMake approach does
not include a way to run tests, which is why I removed those from the Makefile.
If it turns out that I just missed where the tests can be run, it could be
added back in. But when I search their CMakeLists.txt for "test", I don't find
any target for testing to be run.
