config.log with the "cannot compute sizeof (int)" error

The configure script keeps failing here, with two different reasons
alternating:
 - cannot compute sizeof (int)
 - Some fortran/C incompatibility

The _real_ problem must be somewhere else, but I don't know, how to find it.
