Following a pkg upgrade to 1.18.2_2 the qtox messenger app no longer displays
the emojis tablet for selection.  Incoming emojis are displayed fine.

to reproduce:  Start qtox under the mate desktop.  Select an existing contact. 
Press the smiley-face icon.

Expected result.  A point and click display of available emojis is shown.

Actual result:  Nothing is displayed.  No emojis can be sent.

Text message traffic works as expected.
File transfer works as expected.
Screen shots work as expected.
