I already explained it on the mailing list. Each port adds a maintenance cost
on Ports project as a whole, so we as a project are interested in not keeping
useless things, not doing useless work. I highly doubt that ports such as this
one have any real value and users, which is why I'm trying to become 100% sure
we want it in the tree.
