            Bug ID: 274033
           Summary: dns/ddclient: Fails to start if ipv6=yes exists in
                    config file
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Many People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: echoxxzz@gmail.com
                CC: mjl@luckie.org.nz

             Flags: maintainer-feedback?(mjl@luckie.org.nz)

On new FreeBSD installs ddclient will not start if the ddclient.conf file
contains the ipv6=yes parameter.

The following errors are logged:

ddclient[1086]: FATAL: Error loading the Perl module IO::Socket::INET6
needed for ipv6 connect.
ddclient[1086]: FATAL: On Debian, the package libio-socket-inet6-perl must
be installed.
ddclient[1086]: FATAL: On Red Hat, the package perl-IO-Socket-INET6 must be
installed.
dclient[1086]: FATAL: On Alpine, the package perl-io-socket-inet6 must be
installed.

I was able to fix it by modifying the port Makefile and changing the
RUN_DEPENDS from:

RUN_DEPENDS=    p5-Data-Validate-IP>0:net-mgmt/p5-Data-Validate-IP

to this:

RUN_DEPENDS=    p5-Data-Validate-IP>0:net-mgmt/p5-Data-Validate-IP \
                p5-IO-Socket-INET6>2.72:net/p5-IO-Socket-INET6
