I use GIT in conjunction with poudriere. Every time I manually make changes in
the port, GIT complains. I have to again make changes to make it happy again.

The proper place to correct this problem should not be on my end. This is the
second time this problem has arisen. I am not sure why it is happening, but it
is not on my end and I (and others) should not be responsible for correcting
it.
