It's possible that this bug has become less troublesome in recent months. 

If I recall correctly: when I last opened a remote desktop, the remote desktop
was full screen (incorrect) but windowed. 

So: the Plasma desktop environment was visible, but should be avoided for some
time (to avoid bug 272664).

During this waiting period, it seemed safe to resize the Citrix window.
