I would like to ask a more fundamental question, do we need to add yet another
lightweight build "system"?  One that is limited to YAML, meaning yet another
CI copycat?

Many were offered over the years, but few have actually caught on.  
I'll be so bold to say we don't need anything beyond make, gmake, ninja, unless
it ships as part of some language (for instance cargo).

Who would be using it, any high-profile port using it to build?
