Are there any other XDG_* environment variables?
Because your vlc has not reached the following console output.

[0000000801059060] main libvlc: Running vlc with the default interface. Use
'cvlc' to use vlc without interface.
QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, defaulting to '/tmp/runtime-tatsuki'
[000000080115ebe0] main playlist: playlist is empty
