See the link Vladimir posted to a ticket regarding making openjdk11 the
default.  This revealed a lot of ports that were Java 8 only.  I fixed some,
but there were a lot more to do.  I expect many of them are in the list of
build failures provided in the previous comment.  They'll all need to have the
Java version set to Java 8 before we can bump the default version.
