The nvidia driver 340 no longer loads at system startup with recent software
changes with log files indicting that it needs to be updated to the most recent
xorg server ABI. The following message is listed at startup:

file /var/log/Xorg.0.log

WARNING
This server has a video driver ABI version of 25.2 that this driver does not
officially support. Please check http://www.nvidia.com/ for driver updates or
downgrade to an X server with a supported driver ABI.

I am seeing this error on multiple 64-bit machines and graphics cards.
