Steps to reproduce the bug:

boot FreeBSD 13.1R amd64, uefi mode
1. XOrg is set to use either "amdgpu" or "radeon"
2. Startx (using any env, incl. TWM)

immediately after starting X the system freezes with a white cursor in the
corner of the screen, no activity, must pull power to reboot.
there are no graphical artifacts of any kind appearing.
