Well, I really don't know where to look for a problem with my python install

(this is just "pkg info | grep py" so it picks up a bunch of other stuff that
just happens to have py in it).

That this same error is happening on two different FreeBSD 11 systems is really
puzzling, since I would expect that a broken python install would be hard to
have happen accidentally on two unrelated machines.

The Texinfo/makeinfo warnings/errors are equally puzzling, since this is just a
generic texinfo install, and it's automatic as well:
