I have just upgraded to FreePlane 1.9.12, tried to start from the shell (bash)
and get the following:

[~]$ freeplane
/usr/local/bin/freeplane: 60: Syntax error: "&" unexpected
/usr/local/bin/freeplane: 60: Syntax error: Error in command substitution
[~]$
