Why was this closed? After a week the issue still exists.

I am building pkg from git:

- 472c575e1ff9296761fc6d9e22ddcb0a3bb89a2f is bad
- 563486eed8f7fc7da5af1a91e6cc156311a40f42 does not compile
- 563486eed8f7fc7da5af1a91e6cc156311a40f42 + cherry-pick
9dc5efd65a4b6de7af23d9938d8e0554314a0579 (= build fix) is OK

So maybe some fix is missing on the release-2.8 branch.
