I'm reminded of <https://github.com/freebsd/pkg/issues/2441>,

On one hand: in recent months, I began wondering whether it was overcome
by events, or fixed, because I had not observed the issue for a while.

On the other hand: I had not recently tested with 2441 in mind.

Two weeks ago:
<https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/@grahamperrin/116258779068724620>, NB the
first follow-up "… This began as a review of pkg issue 2441 …". I might
revisit the case today, or over the long weekend.

I have intentionally dropped freebsd-hackers@ from the list of
addressees here ("No posting should be made to more than 2 mailing
lists, and only to 2 when a clear and obvious need to post to both lists
exists." –
<https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/eresources/#eresources-charters>).
