https://pkg-status.freebsd.org/beefy18/build.html?mastername=main-amd64-default&build=p118fb2971704_s4ab64e34911

indicates that the last port-package build for main
amd64 finished at:

Sep 23 21:51:52 UTC 2025

And the overall build finished at (computed from the
start time 06 Sep 2025 01:35:48 GMT and overall elapsed
time 428:20:14):

Sep 23 21:56:02 UTC 2025

The "latest/" in:

https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:16:amd64/latest/

does not yet exist. Once it does and has been
populated, main 16 should have official
FreeBSD-ports port-package builds available to
install via pkg.

The build was based on use of pkg 2.2.2 . It will
be the next build before pkg 2.3.1 (or later) is
what is involved and distributed. Builds based
on pkg 2.3.1 (or later) should take a lot less
elapsed time, it will be interesting to see just
how much the next time it does a (nearly) from
scratch build.
