I’ll remind that the configuration of base-packages and port-packages is a
system issue and ports issue respectively, not a ports-mgmt/pkg issue. The
report of the out of order delete/install/reinstall issue may be more of a
configuration related issue than an issue with the code in pkg itself.

Product “Base System” may well be involved —-but may not be the only such
Product involved.
