[Bug 290829] ports-mgmt/pkg 2.4 fails to create its own package

some output is missing here. pkg create failed for pkg itself, and it should
have complained about it.

If you have installed from portmaster your packages, there is a thread ongoing
about an issue where portmaster removes a directory owned by pkg which make pkg
create fail.

Have you built using portmaster?
