Same here, '-o' option on pkg ver 
crashes as soon as there is a package matching to display.

[root@beastly ~]# pkg ver -vo -n rsync
Child process pid=71786 terminated abnormally: Segmentation fault

[root@beastly ~]# pkg ver -v -n rsync
rsync-3.4.1                        <   needs updating (index has 3.4.1_2)

[root@beastly ~]# uname -a
FreeBSD beastly.cmb.ch 14.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 14.2-RELEASE
releng/14.2-n269506-c8918d6c7412 GENERIC amd64
