Gave it try, it has seemed stable so far. Initially my transfer rates were 
60-70 MiB/s, but I had my CPU working hard for unrelated reasons. Once the CPU
was idle, my transfer rates tended to be roughly around 385 MB/s, which is
pretty good and probably bottle necking on the other system (the FreeBSD system
is running on a SATA SSD so it can go somewhat faster than that).

Sharing in case that's not normal and because the driver is still early.

But so far seems pretty stable for me!
