I also had the problem that wol stopped working for me after updating from 13.5
to 14.4. The affected PC was using if_re, but there were other computers with
the same driver that didn^Zt have the problem. It turned out that my problem
has existed since version 14.0. Using git-bisect, I was then able to identify
the relevant commit.

The 15 branch is not affected, as the error was corrected in this branch by the

Attached is a patch that includes the wol part imported from ACPICA 20230628
and restores the wol functionality for me in version 14.4.
