My experience with the 2.5G Realtek chipsets (on motherboard) with if_re is
that yes, it is -- under heavy load timeouts and watchdog resets are extremely
common on 14.3-STABLE.

The kmod versions are not much better; some don't work at all, others sort of
do but have serious latency stability problems that significantly impacts
throughput.
