^Triage: as bugmeister, I'm sorry that this one has fallen through the cracks.
Let me try to reassign it to the net@ group to see if the subscribers there
can comment.

NB for net@: the believed workaround is to disable hw checksum offloading. 
There
are multiple submitters who have reported this.
