I've also filled the gaps mentioned in the same comment from previous historic
OpenBSD commits. You can find the backport for stable/14 here:

I just don't think this was handled the right way. Constructive information was
discarded on the basis of "bad communication". One thing I would not like to
see is the backport "suddenly" landing on main without referencing this work.
