This driver is based on a very old version of the driver in FreeBSD, it lac= ks support for features that have been introduced into FreeBSD since the date = when Realtek created its fork (e.g. NETMAP, generic PHY support). The advantage of the Realtek driver is that it provides some 30 device spec= ific firmware patches that work around the bugs of each supported chip.
