IIRC FreeBSD CARP share the same IP protocol number with VRRP, but it is
different protocol with VRRP.
I have not tested yet but you can try the following combinations:
1. FreeBSD CARP and Linux UCARP
2. FreeBSD freevrrpd and Linux VRRP
