I'm pretty sure he has hit this same issue I've had for years now: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=263385 I've tried everything, OSS, external USB DAC, PulseAudio .. all of it has the same issues. It's worse in firefox/chrome especially for 4k video. I don't have a non-nvidia card to try in this machine so I'm not sure in the driver but you can hear clicks for example when a keyframe switch happens. Anything that causes a lot of video refresh creates the clicks they are softer at lower resolutions but more acute at higher. I'm still on an older 14.1 and have not updated I was going to try that soon but none of the previous updates from 13 made any difference and two updates made it worse. Amar.
