Daniel, thanks for cleaning the port, grouping all x11 related options is a
great idea! However, I concur with Gleb regarding nox11 flavor. I do not see
what the problem this flavor tries to solve. For me separate ports (or flavors)
for libvlc and VLC GUI would be more useful (I do not know whether the split is
even possible without using subpackages), than x11/nox11 flavors: stand-alone
libvlc would allow to untie all vlc consumers from the GUI libraries used by
VLC, i.e. Qt5 currently or Qt6 in the future.
