I am closing this bug as obsolete. The SIGILL crash building corba occurred
under experimental VMWare Fusion on an Apple M1 Mac, a very specific and
unsupported environment. OpenJDK8 has been updated from jdk8u342-b07 to
8.482.08.1 since then. Both the VM emulation and the port have improved
significantly.
