Do you mean “I installed 10.x-RELEASE on this machine once upon a time
and have been running freebsd-update semi-regularly since then”, or “I
just upgraded this machine all the way from 10.x to 14.3 in a single
freebsd-update operation”?  Because I'm pretty sure the latter won't
work, and the former is not a useful answer.  When we ask “how did you
upgrade the system” we want to know a) how you performed the upgrade and
b) what you were running immediately prior.
