so this is systemd for freebsd essentially?

without it's mistakes

but this is not the first time something wants to replace. upstart, launchd, what were all those?

on ui, i can see myself making immediate alias "rc" for "rcctl". it's also pretty cursed how service used the arguments the other way round

technically this design is pretty sound. but it's like, change, decades of existing habits gone. i don't like changes. i hate changes

on technical, this also feels like "inetd-ng" somehow. that socket and fd decouple. the binary swap sounds fancy tho

like with pkg(ng), i'm still adjusting to it even today

also, could there be additional special control interface to this? i feel like shell autocompletes aren't enough. so, a special rc console?

or maybe a ncursea tui?

or, relatedly, maybe a remote control and monitoring of a kind. maybe cluster running stuff?

with jails also being a thing, is this also a docker for freebsd?

those are like my quick views to this
