We just committed the chflags changes.  Now, with -RL, chflags will
not follow symbolic links that point outside of directories named on
the command line.  The requested "chicken switch" is a
--dereference-links-unsafely command line option.  Thanks to everybody
who provided input.  And please don't hesitate to report any problems
that you find.
