It has been like that for I'd guess 15years and to change it would be what FreeBSD calls a POLA violation, I think? (The Principal of Least Astonishment implies that things don't change when people go to new releases. The new releases may have new features, but they aren't enabled by default when the new release is installed. At least that is my understanding of it. For example, an NFS mount still defaults to NFSv3.) The default for UFS is no ACL support, with POSIX draft ACLs or NFSv4 ACLs being enabled via mount options. and has been that way for at least 15years. rick > > Aurélien > -- > Aurélien Couderc <aurelien.couderc2002@gmail.com> > Big Data/Data mining expert, chess enthusiast >
