mkimg QCOW2 Compression Support Project for GSoC 2025

My name is Kushagra Srivastava. I am interested in contributing to the
improvement of mkimg tool. Recently, I have been exploring FreeBSD’s
mkimg tool and have started studying the QCOW2 specification and the use of
compression libraries (zlib).

I am eager to discuss potential approaches for implementing compression
support directly within mkimg. Could you please let me know if this mailing
list is the best medium for further discussion or if you have a preferred
method of communication like your personal email? I will contact you soon
