If you want to resurrect a Swift port from the past to the future you
are welcome:

If you want to rewrite existing operating systems in Swift, go ahead
what is stopping you? If you want us to rewrite FreeBSD in Swift the
answer is the same as for the Rust preachers - go ahead and create
your own operating system from scratch (i.e.
https://www.redox-os.org/) then let people decide what they prefer but
don't break what is already out there working fine :-)
