Interested in contributing to the Profile Guided Optimization idea

Hello,

I would like to know more about the project idea about "Profile Guided Optimization" described on the “ideas" page: https://wiki.freebsd.org/IdeasPage#Profile_Guided_Optimization_.28PGO.29

My motivation stems from a desire to be a contributor in the open source community and a keen interest in systems; in particular operating systems and compilers. Of lately I have been tinkering with the LLVM project, having set up working builds on my local machine to hack on it and get to know the system. I was looking for a project in FreeBSD that would have an overlap with LLVM and this is the one appears fairly appropriate in that context.

Any pointers about this project is appreciated. Ideally I would like to get in touch with the author of this project-idea to explore the possibilities as a potential contributor.
