This has nothing to do with Cinnamon and everything to do with something,
perhaps a stray OPTION, stray port(s)/package(s) or even portsnap lying to you
about the state of your ports tree, in your environment. None of the ports
listed are Cinnamon dependencies. Further, portsnap is deprecated (and already
removed in 14-CURRENT); using the git repository directly is recommended.

net/mpich is not pulled in unless PARALLEL is enabled in science/hdf5.
