Having no other choice, I compiled with a SCHED_ULE kernel, and the resulting
package works just fine on a SCHED_4BSD machine.  Consider me puzzled about why
the build process has any interest in the CPU topology (and in the
configuration phase, of all places), and yet the run time doesn't care.
