Did you check whether simply running "cargo build --release" in the configured
build area is working? - Because in my setup, just doing "make" in
/usr/ports/devel/rust-cbindgen fails with the allocation error, but executing
"make configure ; cd "${WRKDIRPREFIX}/`/bin/pwd`/work/cbindgen-0.20.0" ; cargo
build --release" succeeds (but leaves no usable result for the port build
process because the artifacts built are not placed in the separate build

There seems to be some issue in how cargo is invoked for the build phase of a
port - maybe it is the way the separate build directory is set.
