Hi Farooq,

Restore the original disk to 71 GB > attach a new (50 GB or less) disk to the same VPS > partition/format it with UFS >> copy everything over >> make the new disk bootable and boot from it.

Once you have confirmed everything works from the 50 GB disk, delete the old 71 GB disk.

Remember: UFS can be extended, but not shrunk, just like a country national debt. :P
