The system logs indicated syntax errors. Attempts to mount remotely failed, even for the unrestricted filesystem. I appreciate your help and persistence on this. If you still want to pursue this further, I am happy to assist using my test setup. But even while doing so, I am aware that this is works-as-designed, or "feature," or what have you.
