Hmm. Turns out Wired decreases show in top when top also shows the likes of
(ordered by cpu):

  PID   JID USERNAME    PRI NICE     SIZE       RES STATE    C   TIME     CPU
COMMAND

[kernel{thread taskq}]

Otherwise [kernel{thread taskq}] is well down the list.
