I finished bisecting the changes from
https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/commit/?id=1719886f6d08408b834d270c59ffcfd821c8f63a
and I found the problem changeset.

The culprit is https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/commit/76d1dde94ca9

Booting HEAD of main right now hangs forever on my system (9dcf39575), but
reverting only 76d1dde94ca9 resolves the issue.

Now the question is why. I don't fully understand that change yet. I'll see if
this has caused problems upstream.
