Probably a better discussion for the emulation mailing list but ISTR ...
VBox5 is kept around to support 32bit guests.
VBox6 is kept around since additions 7.x has yet been ported.

VBox7.0 has been EOLd by upstream and AFAICT 7.1 did not remove any features.
