I think ports-mgmt/pkg is supported. For both Tier 1 platforms: a capable
package (greater than 2.5.0) exists for all ABIs. The relevant feature has been
tested.

If pkg is supported by the FreeBSD Project: run the pkg command, then use
freebsd-update. 

freebsd-update is supported.
