Bug ID: 292800
Summary: contents of 12.1-RELEASE base.txz for powerpc are
wrong
Product: Documentation
Version: Latest
Hardware: Any
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Only Me
Priority: ---
Component: Website
Assignee: doc@FreeBSD.org
Reporter: pkubaj@FreeBSD.org
I tried to create a 12.1-RELEASE powerpc jail on poudriere for testing using -m
ftp-archive. It downloaded
http://ftp-archive.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD-Archive/old-releases/powerpc/12.1-RELEASE/base.txz,
however plain chrooting to that directory just segfaults on my system. It turns
out the contents are the same as
http://ftp-archive.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD-Archive/old-releases/powerpc/powerpcspe/12.1-RELEASE/base.txz,
but
http://ftp-archive.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD-Archive/old-releases/powerpc/powerpc/12.1-RELEASE/base.txz
should be used.
I'm not sure how many other releases are affected.
