If I go to https://ports.freebsd.org and do a search for a port, any port, it
comes back with "Sorry, nothing found". 

The page is linked from https://freebsd.org/applications too, although looking
at our Plausible stats I note it's almost never clicked on. I wonder if we
should just link to freshports.org here — although I suspect most people just
go there directly.
