> link:https://wiki.freebsd.org/Graphics/AMD-GPU-Matrix[AMD] can be found
> in the FreeBSD Wiki.
The linked Wiki article for Intel was deleted in July 2025; the AMD article has
only minor edits since 2018 so very outdated.
Sending readers to a deleted Wiki article is clearly unacceptable, but should
the FAQ link be removed or the Intel Wiki page reinstated? It seems
inconsistent to delete one but not the other, as both Wiki articles give a
misleadingly poor impression of FreeBSD's compatibility with modern hardware.
But if both Wiki articles were delinked, whether the AMD Wiki page is deleted
or not, where should the FAQs refer readers instead? Supported cards are not
listed in Hardware release notes, for example.
If no suitable alternative target can be found, the answer to the FAQ could
just be reduced to:
> Popular graphics vendors like Intel®, AMD® or NVIDIA® are well-supported.
But on its own that may be a bit too sweepingly optimistic.
